My name is Géraldine, I am French and I live in France. Originally from the South East of France, I grew up in the Provence, an area near the Mediterranean Sea. For me, it is one of the most beautiful places of the country because it is always sunny !
I studied in the city called Lyon and stayed there for several years. I love this city, which is both dynamic and culturally interesting. The gastronomy is incredible and the festival of lights (La Fête des Lumières) on December, 8th is absolutely a must-see ! Every year, lights are projected on the city's monuments to thank the Virgin Mary for saving the city from the plague. It’s a real living and an amazing show !
Then for several years, I have lived near the city of Bordeaux, very famous for its wine. Bordeaux wine, that means something to you, right? A few kilometers away, on the Arcachon basin, the Dune du Pilat is a very famous natural site for sunset lovers.
In France, we are lucky to have an extraordinary diversity of landscapes, the sea, mountains and several large cities like Paris, Lille, Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse, Bordeaux... which are worth discovering.
